Lennox Dealer Meetings and there’s one thing I noticed: HVAC is a boys club.
Some of you may like that, but I’m here to tell you that women should be selling HVAC. In fact, there are already
groups dedicated to highlighting
women in the industry.
Women make more household decisions
In most households, you’ll be selling to a woman.

Pew study shows that in 43% of American households, women are making the decisions compared to 26% of households where a man decides. A female salesperson can better understand another woman’s perspective.
I’ve already talked about the importance for female customers to
feel safe. A woman employee is part of making that happen.
Reader Jacob said he likes to bring female employees to jobs.
“They are great at earning the trust of a customer so they are able to explain what needs to be done and the costs in a way that a female customer does not feel like she is being ripped off,” he said.
Variety is the spice of life
It’s no secret that women think differently than men, and that could be an advantage for your HVAC business.
Having another voice, especially one with different insight, can open up new avenues for your business.
